When the average film directors are a decade south of receiving an AARP subscription, it’s a breath of fresh air to see young faces. Kane Parsons, the director of A24’s new movie Backrooms, is the youngest we’ve seen in a while. What started in 2019 as an anonymous 4chan creepypasta (a horror related short story) turned into Parsons’s directorial debut at the sober age of 20.
